Soft Pitch
Back from the Dead! LOL!*
Before I get into of the stuff out there on the interweb this morning, I would like to commend the Mindyville County Athletic Directors Association for its decision to move all of the quarterfinal round games in Mindyville County to Pulaski Park last Saturday. I was there for all fourteen games and there were a lot of parents, players and fanfares that stayed to the end. I don't know what the vote count was, but if it wasn't unanimous the nays in that organization should be asamed of themselves.
As many of you know, and to those who don't know, my main coverage beat for Mindyville is softpitch soft ball. With the gals season in its final stages, as well as the softball season winding down time was scars for me. But now that we are days away from the county playoffs, things should liven up a bit around here!!! ROTFLMAO!
I wanted to let everyone know, that I will be happy to answer your internet words regarding the 2 teams involed (Mindyville Marvins and the Brantford Bombcats). I'll also be happy to able to answer questions regarding All-Essex County quickest since I have the best answers for that area.
3 Congratulations go out to Tricia Reingle of St. John Vianney, who was named the 2006 Player of the Game yesterday. In today's News, Cheryl Pincus handicaps some of the tournament sections with her picks for the winner and sleeper team. I'm a little baffled to say the least.. Gina Capardi?!! I mean come on.
In response to some reader feedback...
The Greater Mindyville Conference sportsmanship awards were handed out recently and I will be posting pictures of all of the softpitch softball gals honored in a few months. Congrats to those honored.
That's it for now!!!
Over and out,
Cahy Sampson
